Cabinet nod to secure rights of women, kids hailed

Reem Al Falasi, secretary-general of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood (SCMC) has commended the UAE leadership's efforts to promote the rights of women and children.
The announcement was made following the Cabinet's decision to adopt the Strategic Plan for the Rights of Children with Disabilities 2017-2021, and the National Strategy for Motherhood and Childhood 2017-2021.
Al Falasi noted that the SCMC prepared the strategic plan based on the directives of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
