Sharjah Civil Defence firefighters successfully put out a major fire in a truck on Sharjah's Madam road on Wednesday afternoon.
An official from Sharjah civil defence confirmed that no causalities were reported in the accident as the driver managed to jump out of the truck in time.
The fire started in the engine of the truck and gutted the front side of the vehicle.
Civil Defence were alerted about the fire at 12:50 pm to report the fire.
Firefighters from the nearest fire station reached the site of the fire in less than 5 minutes and put it out within 5 minutes.
The cooling operation took 20 minutes - after which the case was handed over to Sharjah Police to investigate the cause of the fire.
