Woman earns Dh120,000 in 1 month in UAE

An Emirati Tasheel centre employee has earned Dh120,000 in one month - that includes Dh108,000 commission and her salary. She broke the record for the maximum number of finished applications - 2,400 - undertaken in a month.
According to the rules of Tasheel centres for the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, civil employees are given a commission of Dh45 after successfully concluding an application. The woman employee successfully concluded more than 2,400 transactions. This, in addition to her salary, pushed her monthly salary to Dh120,000.
"There are no unemployed people in the UAE, only job-seekers. Even as job opportunities are made available, some job-seekers do not wish to work in private sector jobs with lower salaries. Thus, they try to find work in government agencies and departments," said Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation. "An employee who earned Dh120,000 in one month is a great feat and gives other citizens an incentive to work in the private sector."
The total number of Tasheel centers in the UAE is 49: 16 in Abu Dhabi, 15 in Dubai, eight in Sharjah, three in Ajman, three in Fujairah and three in Ras Al Khaimah and one in Umm Al Quwain.
These centers provide services on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation through an institutional partnership with the private sector. The partnership was made in accordance with the distinguished government service standards and under the supervision of the management.
They also undertake applications on behalf of the The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship related to domestic workers; applications for The Department of Economic Development; for the Dubai Health Authority; as well as applications for the Federal Customs Authority.
Tasheel also access e-services and allows for electronic registrations.
Al Hamli added, "We must change how we as Emiratis approach our careers - instead of asking how much will my salary be. They should focus on 'what will I learn at this job which can give me skills that will reflect positively on my future career and job prospects'."
He pointed out that the ministry is currently working on implementing an innovative employment initiative.
"We are looking into creating job opportunities for Emiratis who wish to work from remote areas. We want to encourage employers who offer people the chance to work from remote areas as a more flexible option. The ministry will also help to equip and provide such remote locations to allow citizens to work with companies who work with this initiative," he added.
Such an initiative allows employees to work more conveniently from a place near their residence.
The system is an innovative solution to overcome the nagging distance between the place of residence and the workplace, especially from one emirate to another, specifically for female citizens.
During the past year, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has taken a number of important steps to support Emiratisation in various fields, especially for Tasheel centers. Notably, 100 per cent of data entry operators are now Emiratis at customer service centers.
