Men lure victim to UAE desert, stab him to death

Sharjah - Police had received information on December 2016 about a man lying in a pool of blood in a sandy area.

Two Asians were charged with murder, theft and damaging a vehicle, at the Sharjah Criminal Court on Sunday.

The two have been accused of murdering a 26-year-old, also an Asian, by luring him into a sandy area, 'exploiting' his presence, then stabbing him to death and damaging his vehicle.

Police had received information on December 2016 about a man lying in a pool of blood in a sandy area. An investigation was soon launched and the suspects were identified.

During the court hearing presided by judge Hussain Al Ousovi, the two accused denied all the charges, though they confessed to the crime during police and prosecution interrogation. The second accused could not be charged due to the absence of an interpreter who understood his language.

The case was adjourned to May 15.
