Absconding maid arrested 10 years after stealing gold from sponsor in UAE

Sharjah - The sponsor's 11-year-old son saw the maid exit the bedroom with a black bag.

A maid who absconded ten years ago after making off with her employers gold jewellery has been arrested and brought to trial in Sharjah.
The Asian national had entered her sponsor's bedroom while she was out.
Her employer's 11-year-old son testified that he saw her furtively enter his mother's room and stay there for quite some time, as per Al Bayan report. 
He heard unusual sounds while she was inside, then she exited carrying a black trash bag in her hand. She pretended to throw it away in the bin outside on the main road. 
The woman apparently left the house then disappeared entirely after that. She had stolen her passport and gold jewelry from her employer before running off. 
Upon checking her residency status, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs found that an absconding report had been filed against her ten years back.
