The foggy weather is expected to continue in certain parts of the Capital. Motorists have been advised to be extra cautious and vigilant, especially after Saturday's 69 car pile-up crash on Abu Dhabi-Al Ain highway that left 23 people injured.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), the visibility on Saturday was less than 50 metres on the highway. Fog is expected to continue on Monday, too.
The police have advised motorists to leave a safe distance between vehicles, reduce speeds, and avoid changing lanes abruptly while driving in foggy weather.

Ahmed Amin, an early morning commuter, told Khaleej Times that moisture on the roads due to the damp weather has made driving dangerous.
"I have to commute in the early hours from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, and the roads are usually filled with moisture around this time. Cars can easily skid if the driver isn't careful," he said. "I usually drive between five and seven in the morning, and that's when the roads are most dangerous around January."
He pointed out that even with the vehicle's lights on, it's often difficult to see cars in front of him when driving in the early hours. "It can be scary, because even though my lights are on I can't always spot the cars around me."
