The Ambulatory Healthcare Services, a unit of Abu Dhabi Health Services Company will start carrying out 'preventive' medical checkups on the UAE nationals at their workplaces.
The mobile clinic will be visiting the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority on Tuesday, August 30, for three days to carry out preventive checkups to nearly 150 Emirati nationals, who are working for there.
The preventive checkups include filling-up a questionnaire on health following which a clinical check up will be conducted, to help prevent cardio vascular diseases.
Medical staff will measure the blood pressure, body mass index, blood sugar levels, cholesterol, vitamin D, kidney functions, smoking, and the physical activity.
Dr. Mubarak Hamad Al Darmaki, acting executive clinical manager at the Ambulatory Healthcare Services, said:

"We have recently licensed and prepared a mobile clinic to conduct preventive medical checkups, a step that was welcomed by the government bodies."
He added that the cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority comes in line with our endeavour to put the strategic partnerships into practice to make it easy for Emiratis to benefit from the preventive services, which could help them understand how their health is, and thus enable them to improve their lifestyle and maintain their health and avoid diseases.
The mobile clinic helps the government institutions facilitate the preventive services to reach their employees close to their workplaces in a convenient and well equipped manner, Dr. Al Darmaki noted. haseeb@khaleejtimes.com
