A total of 450 advanced cameras will be installed in vital areas in Ajman to prevent crimes and reduce accidents, according to Brig. Shaikh Sultan Al Nuaimi, Ajman Police Chief.
Addressing press conference on Wednesday  at police headquarters, Brig. Al Nuaimi, said that the cameras system is part of the (Ajman safe city project) and will be executed in four phases. The first phase will start with installing of 150 cameras in areas that witness more accidents and crimes. The whole project which include the installing the 450 cameras will be completed by February, 2017.
He said that the new cameras will detect the speed and others traffic violation as well as crimes.
He said that Ajman Police is assigning the same companies that executed the same system New York to install it in Ajman.
He said by two month Ajman Police will obliged hotels, motels , malls and commercial center to link their premises with early crime detection system in the operation room of Ajman.
 He pointed out the Ajman is safe project would transferee Ajman to be a smart city which based on advanced technology that that aimed at ensuring safety and security in the emirate.
Al Nuaimi stressed that the cameras will reduce crime rate and minimize the traffic accidents and congestion in various roads in the emirate.
The project also including linking all malls, parking lots, commercial centers with operation room to detect the crimes and prevent them before they happen.
The police also based on Amiri decree, obliged all commercial, residential and industrial buildings to install cameras and save data for needed time>
The Police have signed agreement with Atlas Company which execute the cameras project in the emirate
