Speed kills: One dead, two hurt in Sharjah accident

A 35-year-old Emirati died on the spot and two other sustained serious injuries during a horrific accident on Shaikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Street.
The accident happened when the driver of the car lost control due to over-speeding and hit the metal road divider, causing the car to turn over several times.
The police received a call at the operation room and immediately dispatched the patrol, ambulance, and traffic expert who rushed to the accident. The patrol opened the road for traffic and ambulance shifted the body to the morgue and the injured ones to Khalifa Hospital in Ajman as it was closest to the accident site.
In another accident a diesel truck turned over on Emirates Road near intersection seven towards Al Badee area and caused massive traffic congestion that held traffic movement for hours.
The police urged the motorists to drive with caution and focus as well as to follow the speed limits and traffic safety rules.
