150 vanity number plates up for grabs in Sharjah

Sharjah - The much-anticipated online auction - which started on November 21 and runs till December 2 - offers 150 exclusive number plates.

The Sharjah Police, in collaboration with Emirates Auction, has kicked off its second online auction for vanity car number plates.
The much-anticipated online auction - which started on November 21 and runs till December 2 - offers 150 exclusive number plates, including one single-digit plate (2); four two-digit number plates (11, 21, 33 and 63); 73 four-digit number plates, and 61 five-digit number plates.
Brigadier Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, General Commander of Sharjah Police, said: "The auction provides an easy platform for enthusiasts to acquire exclusive vanity number plates in a safe and secure fashion."
Abdulla Matar Al Mannaei, chairman of Emirates Auction expressed his enthusiasm for another auction in partnership with Sharjah Police, as he recalled huge successes of previous online and public auctions, and expected a vast response from vanity plates' enthusiasts.
"This auction will witness a high demand compared to the previous one, as people are more familiar now with online auctions, and are always keen to acquire unique number plates," Al Mannaei added. "A long-term strategic partnership between Emirates auction and Sharjah Police has paved the way for the implementation of high-quality standards in customer satisfaction and interests based on the latest technology."
Interested bidders can register online via www.emiratesauction.com or by downloading Emirates Auction's application from Apple Store or Google Play. Emirates Auction has announced that online bidders, who download the application, will enter a raffle draw for a luxury BMW, while registered bidders will have the chance to win a brand new Bentley in a raffle draw.
