A 60-year-old Indian resident was killed in one of the four pile-up traffic accidents that took place on the Shaikh Mohammed bin Salem road in Ras Al Khaimah on Tuesday morning.
Four other people received moderate to minor injuries in the 26-vehicle pile-up which was blamed on the dense fog and low visibility early Tuesday, according to police sources.

"The victim sustained serious injuries and fractures, mainly in his head, and bled excessively due to the impact of the pile-up accident," they said. "The other four injured passengers are recovering and in stable condition."
Warning, Col Ali Saeed Al Alkeem, director of traffic and patrols department with RAK police, said the four accidents happened on a 100 to 400 batch of the arterial road.
