Three cars were gutted in three separate fire incidents in the emirate, according to officials. While two cars were totally destroyed, the third car's bonnet caught fire, they added.
The central operations room of the Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Police, alerted of the three blazes, immediately dispatched traffic patrols, ambulances, paramedics, rescue teams and firefighters.
In the first incident reported at Al Qussaidat area to the north of the RAK city, the car was parked at an auto garage.
The firefighters of RAK civil defence department used water and foam to put out the fire before spreading to the nearby properties.
The second car incident was reported at Al Jazirat Al Hamra and the firefighters managed to put out the fire in a record time.
The three incidents were referred to the police stations concerned for due procedures.
In the wake of the fires, authorities urged motorists to do regular maintenance service, particularly in summer, to control any possible fuel or oil leaks, which causes fires.
