The Department of Economic Development (DED) in Ras Al Khaimah has seized 2,664 counterfeit food products from a market in the emirate. A senior official told Khaleej Times that the seizure followed a complaint from an agency that distributes the original products.
Faisal Alyoon, head of trade control section at the department said they received an official complaint against the erring outlets.
"Alerted about the duplicated products, an inspection team accompanied by an agent of the original brand was dispatched to examine the outlet."
