The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Establishment has opened the Mohammed bin Rashid Village in Sri Lanka.Saleh Zaher Saleh, Director of the establishment; Mohammed Hizbullah, Deputy Minister for Child Development and Women’s Affairs in Sri Lanka; Tariq Al Ali, third secretary at the UAE Embassy; and other officials were present at the opening ceremony.
Ibrahim Bumelha, Deputy Chairman of the establishment, stressed the importance of various charity projects carried out by the organisation and other UAE charity bodies worldwide. He added the village was constructed in the area hard hit by the floods in 2011.
