UN lauds UAE’s anti-human trafficking campaign

Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights has credited the good mission of Shelters for Women and Children (EWA’A) for the best health, psychological and legal assistance and services provided to children and women victims of human trafficking.
Youla Haddadin, Advisor on Trafficking, Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, said at a meeting with Sarah Shuhail, Chief Executive Officer of Shelters, that the UAE’s anti-human trafficking efforts had earned international commendation and took the lead in UN reports. According to the UN official, UAE had eclipsed many countries in terms of legislative and institutional measures that aim to combat the transnational crime.
