ABU DHABI – The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has received more congratulatory cables on the UAE’s 41st national day anniversary.
The cables are from His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Sultanate of Oman, Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan, Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan and Joachim Gauck, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Highness Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, Dr Mohammed Mursi, President of Egypt, Michel Suleiman, President of Lebanon, Dr Mohammed Al Muncef Al Marzouqi, President of Tunisia, Filip Vujanovic, President of Montenegro, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam, Dr Ram Baran Yadav, President of Nepal, Abdullah Gul, President of Turkey, Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa, Hamed Karzai, President of Afghanistan, John Darmani Mahama, President of Ghana, Karolos Papoulias, President of Greece and Nagib Mikati, Prime Minister of Lebanon.
Shaikh Khalifa also received a message from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest. The message was delivered by Iranian Ambassador to UAE Mohammed Reda Fayyad to Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday. The Iranian envoy conveyed the congratulations of President Ahmadinejad to the UAE President on the UAE’s 41st national day anniversary. Rashid Saeed Al Ameri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs for Government Coordination Sector attended the meeting.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received similar cables from Michel Suleiman, President of Lebanon, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam, Hamadi Al Jebali, Prime Minister of Tunisia, Nagib Mikati, Prime Minister of Lebanon, Donald Tusk, Prime Minister of Poland, Dr Baburam Bhattarai, Prime Minister of Nepal and Igor Luksic, Prime Minister of Montenegro, Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Prime Minister of Pakistan and Dato’ Sri Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia.
