Warehouse
 gutted in Rashidiyah

The Dubai Civil Defence has put out a fire which broke out at a warehouse storing plastic pipes in Al Rashidiyah area on Sunday. No casualties have been reported.

The operations room of the Dubai Civil Defence received information about the fire around 2.30pm and fire brigades from Al Rashidiyah rushed to the site and firefighters put the fire under control within 20 minutes.

They also  prevented the fire from spreading to the neighbouring warehouses.

Forensic experts examined the fire scene to find out the cause of fire.

Meanwhile, two people were killed and four others were injured in different accidents on Dubai roads last weekend.  wThe first accident took place on Wednesday night when a car overturned on Dubai Bypass Road after Exit 55 and a Pakistani driver died on the spot. A motorcyclist was injured in the second accident on Thursday, involving two cars and a motorcycle on Al Mankhool Road. 

The third accident took place on Thursday night when a motorcycle crashed into another vehicle. 
The motorcyclist, who was seriously injured, was rushed to the hospital. 

In another incident, a pedestrian was killed on Emirates Road when driver of a car lost control over his vehicle and hit the concrete fence and electric poll before hitting him.
