The Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) and strategic partners, represented by the Housing Authority and Musanada, started visits to the families of Al Falah city to identify their needs of infrastructure, home maintenance and services.
This initiative comes as an outcome of Al Falah Forum held last week and in response to the suggestions and demands of Al Falah people.
The visits covering all dwellings that require maintenance and rehabilitation, reflect the keenness of both the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport and partners to quickly respond to peoples' suggestions and demands.
Following the conclusion of Al Falah gathering and upon heeding to people's suggestions and needs, the municipality, together with strategic partners have formed a specialised team to identify people's needs and immediately implement a maintenance plan covering all citizens' homes.
In collaboration with Musanada, the municipal teams have already visited 122 homes out of 4,800 homes targeted in the plan.
The key demands of Al Falah residents raised during these visits included providing a police station, building more schools and kindergartens, maintaining their living quarters and air conditioning system, lighting and widening of some streets and adding new exit points to the area. They also requested opening the completed clinic and adding another medical unit.
After screening the suggestions and observations, the municipality will submit them to the authorities to figure out solutions. The team will also follow up the progress made in solving these issues and implementing viable suggestions.
