These UAE residents are setting the tune right for Independence Day. According to their official website, www.amankisha.com, what started at a café in Dubai, has now grown into a series of musical collaborations and interactions between Pakistanis and Indians that Pakistani journalist and DJ Desiree Francis pulled together in her "DJ Dez Show - Aman ki Asha" series.
The team voluntarily produced this song and music video released on the web on August 10, 2016.

 Below, messages from the team.
Desiree Francis: I've been saying this for the longest time ever - Loving another country does not make you less Pakistani or Indian. Your patriotism should reflect in your everyday actions to benefit and bring prosperity to your country. So as neighbours, as human beings, let's not judge each other and be decent enough to explore and understand people on either sides. Trust me, labels hurt!
Varun Dharmarathnam: Deep down inside, we all believe in peace. However, due to some incidents we are forced in believing the wrong. If we all change our thought process and be open minded, we can bring a change - a change that will help future generations in following the right path. What if you were told that you had 24 hours to live in this planet. would you spend that time hating someone or loving the people around you? Think about it. I truly believe that we can bring a change.. Let's not follow what the media has to say, or let people brainwash us with negativity. Change begins within us. Aman ki Asha!
Afaq Ahmed: Stop the hate and spread the love. Life is too short.
Ishika Bakshi: We should live as human beings first. I've had a great experience working with Pakistani musicians and I don't think nationality should stop us from working further.
Adeel Mirza: To be a proud citizen of your country is good but to be a good human being is much better. Stay humble and polite and win people's hearts. rock on
Prijo Mathew: Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace. Hate never does any good to anyone.. so why hate? Peace and love to all this Independence Day.  May we learn to respect each other and prosper.
