UAE landmarks go blue, red and white
The Burj Al Arab and the Burj Khalifa are lit up in the colours of the French flag on Saturday as a respect to the victims of the terror attacks in Paris.

Dubai - The world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa, was draped in blue, red and white from 9pm on Sunday.

The UAE lit up its famous landmarks in the colours of the French flag in a solemn act of solidarity to Paris on Sunday, while entities, citizens and expatriates continued to express solidarity with the French people.
The world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa, was draped in blue, red and white from 9pm on Sunday.
Other landmarks such as Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, Hazaa bin Zayed Stadium, Burj Mohammed bin Rashid and Emirates Palace also wore the French colours reaffirming the UAE's solidarity with France. Embassies of Canada, Norway, Fiji and the European Union delegation to the UAE tweeted images of their flags flying at half-mast in solidarity with the victims of the tragic events in Paris and the French Embassy in the UAE.
Meanwhile, the Embassy of the UAE in France denounced and condemned with firmness the odious terrorist act perpetrated on Friday night in Paris.
Through its official Twitter page, the mission on Sunday confirmed its total and unwavering solidarity with the government and people of France. Offering its condolences to the families and relatives of the victims, the embassy wished speedy recovery to the injured.
The mission also announced its decision to put its flags at half-mast for three days. The French Ambassador to the UAE Michel Miraillet said it was a very strong signal of friendship between France and the UAE.
"In January, Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, attended the Paris unity rally wearing his traditional dress.Nobody will forget that.Nobody will forget this too.This is very impressive," he told Khaleej Times.
He said the French community has been touched by the compassion, remarks and messages received from the government and people of the UAE.
"It's not just the messages received by the Ambassador or only from the diplomatic community. but also from common people.from people at gas stations, to those who greet us in elevators, we have received warm messages irrespective of nationalities."
