To meet a heavy rush at the registration centres tomorrow, the Sharjah civic body says, it has made necessary arrangements.
A revised tenancy contract attestation fee will be effective from Aug.1 in the emirate.
Sharjah Executive Council has announced that it is doubling the fees for tenancy contract registration from 2 percent to 4 per cent, effective from Aug, 1.
Since then residents have been flocking to the Sharjah Municipality fees attestation centres to get their contract attested in order to avoid paying more.
Omar Al Sharji, Director of Customer Service Department, said: "We are expecting massive rush of more than 6,000 people today."

Sharjah Municipality has decided to increase the number of counters from 45 to 95 and also increased the number of customers seats from 300 to 1,000.
The number of cashiers, information desk, fees counting were also added from 75 to 220 to facilitate quick attestation services.
The municipality also expanded the costumers' lounges from 2 to 4 ones, each with a capacity of 220 people.
He said there are four main attestation centres including headquarters, industrial area 5, Al Jazzat, Al Khalidiya offices beside nine centres in Tasheel offices across the city.
Sharjah Municipality has served more than 5,000 people who rushed for attestation during the last week, following the municipality's decision to hike fees.
During the normal days, the municipality used to receive 450 customers for attestation on an average basis daily.
To discuss the means of facing the last day rush, the municipality held a meeting during the weekend, after which the working hours extended until 5pm.
He urged the people not to come too early to maintain spot in the line to ensure that their contracts are attested on existing fee.
Al Sharji added residents must not worry as they will provide service to the last person and will not let people go home empty handed.
He said that they haven't received any complaints from customers that they went back home without the services.
Al Sharji hailed the cooperation and efforts of the employees at the rental regulatory department to provide best services for residents.
