Sibling duo and masters of soap bubbles from the globally acclaimed 'Gazillion Bubble Show' Melody and Deni Yang are all set to perform in Dubai this weekend.
The Arabian Bubble Celebration will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 19 to 21. The internationally acclaimed bubble artists, who've been at Broadway for over 10 years, are making their debut appearance in Dubai. Children of acclaimed Canadian bubble artists Fan and Ana Yang, Melody and Deni hail from a family of performance artists.
Organised by Vibgyor Events, the 70-minute long show will feature several segments and themes like underwater theme, winter wonderland and living inside a bubble. Tickets are priced from Dh37 to a whooping Dh2,000. "The higher priced the tickets, the better the view and the experience," said Vinoo Ramachandran, Business Head of Vibgyor Events
Organisers assured that expensive tickets assure crowd interaction and the audience can experience the show while being seated inside a huge bubble. "However, the dance choreography and related content for three days of the show will remain the same," said Deni. They have promised that the venue will turn into a universe of bubbles filled with laser lights, beams, music and dance.
The Yang family will use a seven-ingredient secret soap bubble formula that makes long-lasting massive bubbles for the show. "Some of the ingredients are baby shampoo and dish washing soap. However, none of the materials used will cause any harmful effects - like irritable eyes or skin irritation- to those attending the show," added Melody. Their father Fan Yang has broken several bubble-related world records on numerous occasions including- producing the world's largest spherical soap bubble (2.3 metres circumference), creating the largest bubble wall, and world record for encapsulating 100 people inside a soap bubble in Chicago, United States in 2008.
"We are extremely excited about being in Dubai," said Melody and Deni. Usually the siblings perform separately in different venues, and this is the first time that they will be performing together. "We haven't performed together in a really long time and we are sure it will be truly spectacular and viewers," they said. The siblings have been performing since they turned 3-years-old.
The duo said they really enjoy working with small children. "Every time I perform with younger children and the look of sheer joy on their faces at the sight of the bubbles is something that we really cherish from our performances," said Melody and Deni. The will be around 12 shows across three days. Tickets can be purchased from dubai.platinumlist.com. Timings of the show are between 5.30pm and 12.40am for different category of viewers.
