Dubai Civil Defence put out a major fire that erupted in the warehouse of a car maintenance garage today, filled with carton boxes and equipment.
Firefighter rushed to the site of the fire in Umm Al Rumool area after receiving information at around 11:49am.
Fire brigades from four civil defence stations, including Rashidya, Al Qusais, Port Saeed and Karama rushed to the site and managed to extinguish the fire at around 12:10pm, before they started the cooling operation.
Firefighters prevented the spread of the fire to surrounding warehouses.
The warehouse was gutted in the fire as well as damaging the equipment. No injuries were reported.
Mohammed Hamad, DCD spokeperson, said that forensic experts were investigating the cause of the fire.
