A mosque is named after the late Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, the former commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, in Dubai.
Lieutenant-General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, said: "Naming the mosque after him is the least we can do to one of the most loyal sons of Dubai."
Lt-Gen Dahi Khalfan remembered Al Mazeina as an officer who gave most of his time to serve the Dubai Police and serve his country.
He added: "We have lost a man who is difficult to compensate. But this the will of God, and death is inevitable, and we ask God to bestow His mercy on him and forgive him."
