Bohra community leader Dr Syedna Aaliqadr Mufaddal Saifuddin made a stop-over in Abu Dhabi on Thursday night enroute to Ahmedabad from Nairobi.
The head of the worldwide Dawoodi Bohra Muslim Community was met by a large number of community members from UAE at Mohammedi Masjid at the Bohra Islamic Cultural Complex to accord him a warm welcome and to felicitate him on his appointment as the Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University in India.
Dr Saifuddin left a gentle reminder to the community for preparedness for fasting and prayers in worship and servitude of the Almighty during the holy month of Ramadan. He also told to ask for forgiveness and engage in acts of charity, good deeds and caring for humankind.
He urged the gathering to support their leaders through hard work and determination and utilise their acumen and skills for the betterment of the country.
Dr Saifuddin prayed for world peace and progress and his visit was welcomed by the community as glad tidings and a harbinger of piety and peace.
