Stores are offering up to 80 per cent discounts, slaughterhouses have swung into action, Eid musallahs are prepping up for prayers and Downtown Dubai is bracing to handle about a million visitors.

Chance to win Dh500,000 at 18 Dubai malls

More than 18 malls across Dubai are participating in a promotion, which started on August 24 and runs until the end of Eid.

Free parking for four days

Now this must be sounding like music to the ears of all who intend to drive around Dubai during Eid Al Adha holidays.

All paid parking zones in Dubai, except multi-level parking lots, will be free of charge from Thursday, August 31, and fees will be restored on Monday, September 4.

The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport in Abu Dhabi has also announced that parking in the emirate will be free from Thursday, August 31 until Sunday, September 3. Parking charges will resume at 8am on Monday, September 4.

Etisalat announced on Tuesday that it will offer free UAE WiFi  - the telco's high-speed public WiFi across malls, restaurants and cafes for residents in the UAE during Eid Al Adha period -August 30-September 9.
