If you love exercising or taking a walk, now you have a picturesque boardwalk for that. A 11-km boardwalk has opened on the Palm Jumeirah, bang opposite the Atlantis Hotel.
The Dh150-million track has 37 gates and is accessible from 14 points along the crescent of the island.
Opening the track on Monday, Ali Rashid Lootah, chairman of Nakheel Group, said: "I think this is the longest jogging track in Dubai. This track will attract all fitness lovers in the city.
"It's already proving a popular spot for jogging, walking and sightseeing among both residents and tourists, with many more visitors expected as Dubai's Peak tourist season get underway."

The boardwalk was created by building out the rocks of the island's protective breakwater to produce a six-metre wide promenade and new destination for fitness, lesiure and socialising.
There will be mini taxis (chargeable) available on the track for the people who cannot walk. The capacity for parking would be 350 and it will be free of cost.
Lootah said that "at present there are five food trucks and five more are in the pipeline. In total there will be 30 food trucks on the track."
The foodtrucks offer a variety of fresh juices, salads, sandwiches, smoothies and healthy breakfast options.
When asked if the city will get more fitness destinations, he said: "We are planning to open such tracks in other areas of the city as well. I hope by the end of next year, 1.6-km stretch will be open at the west beach in Jumeirah Beach Residence. Four walkways, two each at the side of the trunk, will be opened soon. Also, we have an ongoing project in Deira Island as well."
