"From nature stems an icon that has overcome all limits. The elements working together as one, woven in culture rooted in all of us. A window to a world you just can't ignore. A place where the air is crisp and the stars are in your grasp."
That's how the new video from Emaar showcasing the features of Dubai's newest architectural marvel "The Tower" begins.
The new video released by Emaar however gives us just a tiny insight into what will be one of Dubai's most exciting projects ever.
If the video is to be believed, then "The Tower" is all set to have swinging platforms designed in such a way so that it swings out of the building, converting it into a viewing deck, protruding outwards at a great height.
Costing $1 billion (Dh3.67 billion), The Tower in Dubai Creek Harbour is a 6 square kilometre master development, which will be a notch higher than 828-metre Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower.
The design of this new building resembles a tall minaret as well as a lily bud that will be anchored to the ground with huge cables and sculpted gardens beneath. It will be built with nature as a key design facet, with beautiful rooftop gardens and terraces.
It will also have residential and leisure features including a 360 viewing deck called 'The Pinnacle Room', and a VIP observation deck with landscaping meant to recreate the "splendour of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon."
The Tower was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, the same man who built Rio de Janeiro's Museum of Tomorrow, Athen's Olympic Sports Complex, and Malmö's Turning Torso Tower.
The Burj Khalifa was completed in January 2010 but is set to be surpassed as the world's tallest building by a new structure currently being built in Saudi Arabia.
The new Tower will be "an idea so grand, it needed one vision to build it, a vision with a new point of view, So that when you look at the world the world will now look back you."
Well, we for one can't wait for it's launch.
