His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation attended this evening the concluding ceremony of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) to celebrate the selection of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as the Islamic Personality of the Year.
Sheikh Ahmed presented the Islamic Personality of the Year Award to King Salman's Representative, Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance.
The Saudi Minister praised in a speech unlimited support given by Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to DIHQA to continue its role in promoting holy Quran memorisation among the youth.
Sheikh Ahmed also presented the awards to the top ten winners of this year's edition of DIHQA who came from Bangladesh, the United States, Gambia, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Bahrain, Libya, Kuwait, Mauritania, Rwanda and Egypt.
