A partial lunar eclipse - taking place on August 7 - will be most clearly visible in this part of the world - with weather on our side.
During the eclipse, Earth's shadow will cover only parts of the Moon. It will be an image that one would treasure for a lifetime.
On August 7, the penumbral eclipse will begin at 7:50pm. The Earth's penumbra will start touching the Moon's face during this time. At 9:22pm, the partial eclipse will take place and Moon will assume a reddish hue.
The maximum partial eclipse will be seen at 10:20pm when the Moon is closest to the center of Earth's shadow.
While the partial eclipse will end at 11:18pm on August 7, the penumbral eclipse will come to a close at 12:50pm on August 8.
The Moon will be above the horizon during the partial lunar eclipse.
The total duration of the eclipse will be 5 hours and 1 minute. The partial eclipse will be visible for 1 hour and 55 minutes.
Other regions which will see, at least, some parts of the eclipse include much of Europe, much of Asia, Australia, Africa, Eastern parts of South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean and Antarctica.
