Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the VIII Raid De Tordera CEI3* 160 endurance challenge in Spain today.
Paula Muntala Sanchez of Spain won the title finishing the four-stage 160 km race in 7:38.24.
Spain's most important endurance event, where they have joined an elite group of European riders to prepare for the FEI World Endurance Championship for Young Riders and Juniors 2017, which will be held in Verona, Italy, in late September.
Four races were held during the two-day Tordera competition.
Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dubai's Meydan Group, noted that the support extended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid to equestrian sports and riders in the UAE should encourage them to win titles at international endurance competitions.
Several sheikhs, officials and endurance enthusiasts attended the race today.
