Different women with different vibes and energy, who have one thing in common - they are all mothers - come together to meet, unwind, and immerse in activities they love. A group started by Canadian national Noha Ayaso Duwaji, calls and gathers a group of mothers almost every month for a surprise "fun" activity that helps them achieve happiness, discover and be themselves, do what they love, make new friends and support each other.
Noha believes that happiness is not only about material possessions but about everyday experiences and that's what she does. She creates experiences for people to come together and connect with each other away from the hustle and bustle of this amazingly fast-paced city we live in.
The ladies group comprises social media influencers, homemakers as well as working professionals.
"We started with a group of friends, who planned to take out time for their own selves. Everyone has their own struggles, so we thought why not leave our worries behind and dedicate at least one day in a month when we can all meet and socialise while doing some activity. So all our meet-ups are planned around one or another activity. We take turns and decide what activity she will plan for the group. It has to be an activity decided by the person whose turn it is and the rest of the group has to agree to it. They don't have a choice, they just have to join in the activity," she said.
Adding to the excitement, the mum in-charge of the day does not reveal the activity until they all meet. "So it's like a surprise. It could be a laser tag game, it could be a picnic on the beach or grocery shopping for the needy. So we agree on the day and time and the team leader decides the meeting point. For example, when it was my turn, I called them to a supermarket. Everyone was shocked that what activity can be done in a supermarket. And I told them, we are buying stuff to distribute among the needy. Our philosophy is simple: Be happy and make others also happy," she added.
"Women reach out to me after seeing what we do through our social media platforms such as @kiddozandme. They say that we also want to be part of your experiences. And I am more than happy to welcome them to be part of our experience," she added.
Asked why she does what she does, Noha said: "You should have a life project that you can look back on and smile. My project is to bring people together and focus and enjoy the present moment. Mums are important. They need to unwind, disconnect and leave all the worries, stress and guilt at the door. This is what the objective of this group is - to be happy to be good."

Some interesting get togethers
The latest group activity organised by Noha was at the Culinary Boutique in Jumeirah, where about 15 ladies were divided into two teams. The restaurant assigned a chef to the ladies who guided them to prepare different dishes which were then judged on the basis of the taste and art of presentation. After giving the prizes that included some unique jewellery pieces, the ladies were invited for a fine-dine experience at a beautifully done-up section reserved for them at the restaurant itself.
Another spectacular celebration by the group was during the Mother's Day that saw a gathering of about 50 ladies. "It was special because I also roped in a group of displaced Syrian ladies in Turkey, who had lost everything in the war but not hope. They use their skills to survive. Theses displaced women do amazing crochet and also make handmade soaps that I buy from them. By buying their products, I was not only helping them but also highlighting their talent. I used their products to be given away at my event as gifts to all the participating mums," Noha, mother of three, told Khaleej Times. Noha's is a Syrian holding Canadian passport.
It was a night of glamour and photo sessions at Studio 77 to celebrate a Mother's Day experience while remembering mums who are less fortunate, said Lidia Kamleh, a lawyer, who has been part of Noha's events previous. Talking about the event, Lidia said the Mother's Day meet was her first experience with Noha and her group, where a fun portfolio photo shoot was organised for the ladies at Studio 77.
