Soon, self-driving police vehicles will keep a tab on Dubai streets. Dubai Police and a Singapore-based company teamed up to develop these vehicles.
Dubai Police signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Singapore-based OTSAW Digital to deploy the new autonomous outdoor security robots as part of the Smart Dubai initiative.

First lieutenant Salim Al Marri, a police official at the department of smart services, said:
Self-driving patrols will be equipped with cameras that will be connected to Dubai Police Head Quarters to show live footage of what's going on in the city's streets. The patrols will be equipped with sensors to identify suspects, places or damaged vehicles. Also, the car will be equipped with a drone and fingerprint scanners to better prepare Dubai Police for any consequence.
The vehicle will be on display at the next Gitex.
