Over 9,000 low-income families have been supported by the Easa Saleh Al Gurg Charity Foundation (ESGCF) since its inception seven year ago.
The listed indigent families are supported with regular allowances, that cover their education and health fees, as well as their accommodation rents, said Dr Raja Easa Saleh Al Gurg, chairperson of ESGCF.
"The foundation is committed to vulnerable people wherever they are, and spares no effort to ease their suffering and bring them happiness," added Dr Raja. "These are added to seasonal assistance - foodstuff packages, feast clothes, Iftar meals, school bags, and many other relief allowances and contributions."
The foundation, initiated by the former UAE ambassador and prominent businessman Easa Saleh Al Gurg, directly supports a number of charity entities in the country. "These include the low-income families committee in Umm Al Quwain, Dubai Charity Association, Sharjah Charity Society, Fujairah Charity Society, Dubai Women's Association, Tarahum Charity Society and many others."
The foundation also supports a number of Quran study centres and has built over 20 mosques in the last seven years.
