Running, even walking is the easiest and simplest way to be fit and healthy. After all, it's just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other and letting physics have its way. There are a lot of fitness initiatives around Dubai to counter the many delicious food options people have here.
While anybody with a good pair of trainers and the proper attire can run, you can't just be running around on the streets. You run the risk of getting into an accident plus running is a less inspiring experience when you don't see other people doing what you are doing to get fit. The solution? Running paths.
Here are just some of the best running paths/jogging tracks around town that will get you in shape in no time.

Dubai Canal

You've got 6.4km of waterfront and five pedestrian bridges. If you can do a complete lap then you've already made 12.8km which is more than enough to get you in shape! Other than that, the views of the Canal are priceless and will only be getting better with the developments underway.

The Boardwalk

Fancy a scenic route? The newly opened Boardwalk in Palm Jumeirah lets you run right in front of the posh Atlantis hotel. Tired after putting down the kilometres? There are food trucks around the area dedicated to serving up healthy and wholesome treats for everyone. Wouldn't want to regain those calories with sugary treats now right?

Zabeel Park

With plenty of parking and a scenic view of Sheikh Zayed Road, Zabeel offers the best of both worlds as you've rustic Dubai flair in the form of Al Karama, and the postcard luxury of the Dubai skyline. The park is also lively with activity, be it families on a picnic, fitness buffs doing various exercises and even the Dubai Garden Glow which you should definitely see while it's still in town.

Dubai Creek Park

It's big, it's by the side of water and it's one of the oldest parks in the emirate. Not only will you get fit, you'll also get a scenic tour of Dubai as it once was. If you want, you can even make your way to the Creek itself and treat yourself to an abra ride for only Dh1.

Jumeirah Beach

Last but not least, the densely populated Jumeirah Beach is a haven for runners all over town. It has dedicated jogging paths, a view of the sunset that is unparalleled, and the best coastline in the entire world! It's also the most well-known of the five on this list so you'll be greeting many other joggers while you're on your way to fabulous body.
