Passengers have rated Abu Dhabi and Dubai airports among the top three best airports in the Middle East for service quality in 2017, according to Airports Council International (ACI).
Released on Tuesday, the survey results showed that passengers rated Abu Dhabi Airport (AUH) first followed by Amman (AMM) and Madina (MED) (tied) and Dubai International (DXB) among the top three.
Moreover, Dubai International was also rated the "Most Improved Airport in the Middle East," revealed ACI survey.
"We made passenger journeys through the facility smoother by reducing waiting times - by deploying cutting edge technology to track and manage queues in real time, as well as by enabling the use of Emirates ID at smart gates for UAE residents. 2017 witnessed the launch of WOW-Fi, the world's fastest free airport Wi-Fi, followed by free streaming movies for our passengers through our partnership with ICFlix," Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, said recently.
In 2017, Dubai International (DXB) retained its position as the world's number one airport for international passengers for the fourth consecutive year with annual traffic last year reaching 88.2 million passengers.
The survey is part of ACI's Airport Services Quality (ASQ) Awards which survey passengers at the airport on their day of travel. The programme measures passengers' views of 34 key performance indicators. The survey cover top 100 busiest airports and interviews 600,000 individuals per year in 42 languages in 84 countries.
