The court adjourned the case to enable the lawyer of the accused to consult the victim's children.
The lawyer asked for 45 days so that he can get in touch with the two sons of the deceased. The women, a 32-year-old Indonesian and a 35-year-old Filipina, are charged with adultery and premeditated murder of the 43-year-old Indian driver at the house of their Emirati sponsor.

The Operations Room of the Sharjah Police received information on October 14, 2014, that an Indian was found dead in his room located in Al Qarayin area. Since initial investigations showed no foul play, the body was shifted to Al Qasimi Hospital and then referred to the Sharjah forensic laboratory. During examination, it was found that the victim was strangulated to death.
The police launched an investigation, which soon led to the maids. When confronted, the Filipino maid allegedly confessed that she had helped the Indonesian maid to kill the driver.
However, the Indonesian maid denied the accusation in the beginning, but confessed to the crime on the second day.
She said she had been in a relationship with an Afghani driver and one day the victim saw her with her boyfriend. After that, he threatened her and started taking advantage of her.
Execution of murder
The maids who stayed in the room next to the victim's then planned the murder.
They allegedly decided that the Indonesian maid would have sex with the victim and would drug him so that they can carry out the murder. On next Friday, taking advantage of the fact that the family was out, the Indonesian maid went to the driver's room, watched a movie, had sex with him and then drugged him.
The Filipino joined them after being assured that MMR had fallen unconscious. They then took out a cord and strangled him.
Once they made sure that the man was dead, they cleaned up the room and left.
They pretended as if everything was normal on the next day morning, carried breakfast to his room. Once there, one of the maids shouted that the man was not waking up and informed the sponsor, who informed the police.
During interrogation, the Indonesian maid admitted that she had sex with the victim and another man. However, during the court hearing, she collapsed and denied the charges. The Filipino, however, confessed that they had killed the man and agreed that she helped her friend.
