  An Arab national has stood trial in the Sharjah Shariah Court for allegedly forging a vehicle parking reservation card. During the court hearing presided by judge Hussein Al Ousofi, the defendant was charged with forgery and using a forged document.
An official at the Sharjah Municipality's parking department said during the prosecution investigation that the defendant submitted the card to him. He found that it was forged. When he questioned the defendant, he reportedly claimed he did not know it was forged.
In another case that the court heard recently, a Pakistani national was charged for falsifying details in his university degree.
During the court hearing, the defendant denied the charge. When questioned by the judge, he presented a certificate translated to Arabic that bore seals of the UAE Embassy in Islamabad and was certified by the Foreign Office in Sharjah.
The court adjourned the case to October 10.
