The Sharjah Police have arrested two GCC nationals for alleged robbery at a popular pharmacy in the Khor Fakkan area.
The suspects, who are in their 30s, allegedly broke into the pharmacy and stole Dh15,300 and medicines worth Dh12,500. They also made away with the surveillance camera system installed in the pharmacy.
The team managed to identify the suspects within 48 hours after the incident. They were followed by the team and arrested later.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to their crime and admitted that they had committed thefts in other parts of the country. They also gave information about the location where they hid the stolen cash and items.
Al Dhanhani said the case initially appeared to be mysterious as the suspects destroyed the camera and used hat, mask and gloves to avoid finger prints and other proofs. But the qualified officers managed to solve the mystery and identify the suspects, he added. afkarali@khaleejtimes.com
