His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Egypt's President Abdel-Fatah El-Sisi, attended on Saturday the opening of the Mohamed Naguib Military Base, located in Al-Hamam area, Mersa Matruh Governorate, and graduation of a number of batches of military colleges and institutes.
High-profile Arab delegations attended the event which coincides with Egypt's celebration of Revolution Day on 23rd July, tomorrow.
Upon his arrival, Sheikh Mohamed was received by President El-Sisi, and Egyptian Defence and Military Production Minister Sedki Sobhy, along with a number of Egyptian ministers and top Egyptian military commanders.
Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince of Bahrain, Deputy Supreme Commander and the First Deputy for the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Advisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah region, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, a number of Arab delegations, top military commanders and parents of the graduates.



Sheikh Mohamed was accompanied by various officials and dignitaries.
At the beginning of the ceremony, a guard of honour was presented to the dignitaries and the Egyptian national anthem was played. Later, The Egyptian President handed over the base flag to the Commander of the Northern Military Region. A film about joint military training with Arab countries was screened, followed by the Egyptian flag raising ceremony.
