The capital city is lighting up the stage of its National Theatre with local and international operetta performances depicting the splendour of the UAE Union.
Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, praised the Nour Al Etihad operetta, its idea and message about the importance of the Union, which the United Arab Emirates is keen on. Shaikh Nahyan expressed his appreciation to all the artists and participants in the show for their positive initiative.
The minister on Sunday attended a performance of the Nour Al Etihad operetta, which falls within the activities of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, as part of the 45th National Day celebrations.
The operetta stars include singer Diana Haddad and Emirati and Arab artists including Abdullah Al Muqbali, Khalifa Al Bahri, besides participation by more than 100 performers from various nationalities including 45 children and 40 motion performance artists.
The operetta was attended by Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs and Maitha Al Shamsi, Minister of State, as well as Afra Al Sabri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development and a large number of ambassadors and representatives of Arab, European and Asian embassies.
Shaikh Nahyan added that art has a huge impact on the progress of people, playing a major role in guiding society in the right direction.
