The Abu Dhabi Police have launched a campaign which aims to provide safety and security to students as they prepare for the commencement of the new academic year on August 28.
The campaign, titled 'Together for the safety of our children', is being carried out in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Education Council.
The drive is designed to promote the role of the school, students' guardians and educational and administrative authorities to providing safety and calmness to the students and ensure a stable academic year for them.
Major-General Maktoum Al Sharifi, acting director-general of the Abu Dhabi Police, said the drive is in response to the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on moral education.
The Crown Prince had recently announced the moral education initiative to support education and consolidate virtues, good values and noble principles of the Emirati society. These principles are derived from the teachings of Islam and traditions of the ancestors and will boost the values of respect, tolerance and loyalty to the nation.
