Abu Dhabi executive panel okays development projects

The Executive Committee of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council approved a Dh104 million project to construct an internal road network in Al Ain city, at a meeting chaired by Saeed Eid Al Gafli.

The project will include the construction of stormwater drainage and sewerage systems as well as drinking water pipelines and the provision of lighting and other services.

The project is part of the government's plan to provide sustainable water, electricity and sewerage services that ensure the optimal utilisation of resources.

The committee also approved a number of other projects, including slipways for boats and jet skis at Al Sadr and Al Bahia, the allocation of a dedicated lane for buses and the upgrade of 40 bus shelters and pedestrian paved walkways, at a total cost of Dh30 million under Abu Dhabi's transport master plan.
