Abdullah Concludes Visits to Gabon, Nigeria
(Wam)ABUJA & LIBREVILLE — UAE Foreign Minister Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Friday said that his visits to Nigeria and Gabon were part of the contacts with friendly African countries to boost cooperation.
In Libreville, Shaikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Gabonese President Ali Bongo. On his part, the Gabonese president conveyed his regards to Shaikh Khalifa and the UAE people.
The Gabonese president welcomed Shaikh Abdullah and discussed ways to strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of economy, trade and investment. They also exchanging views on the latest developments at the regional and international levels.
In the Nigerian capital, Abuja, Shaikh Abdullah met Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan, who lauded UAE-Nigerian relations and expressed eagerness to boost cooperation, particularly in the fields of economy, investment and trade.
Shaikh Abdullah reiterated the significance of ties between the UAE and Nigeria and discussed ways to bolster trade and economic ties and encourage investments in advanced industrial and renewable energy fields.
