India Under-19 Team Happy with Facilities
DUBAI — The Indian Under-19 football team left this afternoon to Erbil in Iraq to participate in the Under-19 AFC Qualifiers. The team under head coach Colin Toal had a very successful training camp in Dubai, a press release said.
The team trained at the Emirates Sevens Grounds where they were given top facilities. In the one friendly game played in Sharjah the Indian lads easily defeated Al Shaab Club under-19 team 4-0.
Vice President of All India Football Federation and team manager Ankur Dutta is accompanying the team with assistant coaches Narayan Menon, Syed Pasha and Tanumoy Basu. The team physio is Chandru Jayaraman. The 23 players and coaches stated that they were very happy with the facilities provided and gave a special mention to the Savoy Park Hotel where they stayed. They thanked Raul Fernandes, Managing Director of Gulf International Promotions for all the facilties.
Fernandes stated that his company were honoured to take care of all the arrangements for the team during their stay in Dubai and wished them all the best for the tournament in Iraq. The team play their first game on November 5 against hosts Iraq followed by Saudi Arabia on 7 Nov, Oman on 10 Nov, Afghanistan on 12 Nov and finally play Kuwait on 15 November.
