DUBAI � Chevrolet Insportz Club together with Smart Pay, a subsidiary of UAE Exchange will conduct a winter cricket league. In all 80 teams are participating in the tournament. The draws were held on October 28. There are 12 teams in the premier division, 28 teams in the B division and 40 teams in the C division, a press release said.

Deepak Nair, Head – Business Development, UAE Exchange who was the chief guest, said: “We are happy to be associated with Insportz Club to organise this tournament with such a huge number of teams.” Rakesh Poduval, Manager of Retail Marketing – UAE Exchange said. “We will try to make this a yearly event depending on the success of this tournament.”

Myron Rodrigues, Manager – Insportz Club said: “We were targeting 72 teams but the response was tremendous and as we did not want to disappoint any team as such we have taken 80 teams for this league.”

The tournament will end on December 19 with finals of all the divisions being played simultaneously.
