Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of the municipality, reviewed the services and facilities offered by the mobile abattoir, while it was in Al Quoz 1. Accompanied by a number of municipal officials, Lootah reiterated that the municipality sought to provide outlets for hygienic and safe slaughter during the Eid period, which will witness high demand.

The mobile abattoir, currently located near Al Quoz Park, is set up by the municipality to serve Al Barsha, Zabeel, Umm Suqeim, and Jumeirah areas, so as to be close to them and relieve pressure on the other slaughterhouses during the period of Eid Al Adha.

Intended for small sacrificial animals like the sheep and goats, the mobile abattoir is equipped to meet the hygiene requirements and has areas for waiting, reception and cutting, the municipality said in a press release.

The mobile abattoir provides testing services for the sacrificial animals and has butchers, their assistants, cleaners, equipment maintenance workers and supervisors offering their services.
