The UAE is considered a second home to many expatriates, notably the Indian community, who take pride in contributing to the economy as professionals and raising their families in a secure, multicultural environment.
While the country offers a bustling metropolitan experience, there comes a time when residents may have to decide to move back home for a variety of reasons, ranging from retirement to children's higher education, or even to sort out property investments.
"Most people, particularly the Indian community, have limited tenures in the UAE. At some point, they would be required to move, but not to a lifestyle that may be inferior to what they may enjoy here (in the UAE). People either wish to maintain the lifestyle that they have here or improve it, and Australia stands as an attractive destination," said Archie Monteiro, an executive involved in a consultancy venture to help expatriates discover a future in Australia through real estate.
Interestingly, the consultancy initiative aims to introduce expatriates to real estate opportunities in Melbourne, to not only help with property investment options in a thriving city, but also guide parents to enrol their young ones in schools to further secure their future.
"Investing in real estate is an opportunity to ensure a high quality of life. Besides finding the right property, we can guide families through educational opportunities in Melbourne, particularly for school-going children to attend government and private schools," Monteiro added.
While his expertise lies in real estate and education, the consultancy is not involved in immigration. However, it can lend a helping hand to connect people with relevant agents if requested.
"We do not assist on permanent residency, but there is a possibility. For families who enrol their children in schools in Australia, the chances are strengthened when they complete their high school and university education," Monteiro said.
The city of Melbourne is known for its strong multicultural presence so Indian expatriates can feel right at home. "In addition, for some properties, we can guarantee a 5 per cent return on rental income, as these chic properties are well positioned and located in sought after suburbs of Melbourne. The city has enjoyed a 12 to 13 per cent growth rate per annum in property values in the last five years," he added.
Meeting demands for affluent living in a family-oriented environment, complete with connectivity and state-of-the-art facilities is a must for the future. Let Monteiro guide you to your forever home in the charming city of Melbourne.
