The Malaysian paper currency is called Ringgit Malaysia, usually shortened to “ringgit” or RM in its written form, and riaggit (RM1) equals 100 sen.
Malaysia’s ringgit comes in RM1, RM2, RM5, RM10, RM50 and RM100 denomination, while the sen comes in the form (which is a RM1 coin). Malaysian currency notes are clearly marked and each denomination has a different colour.

EASY STEPS

STUDENTS submit application forms for study together with relevant documents to the intended educational institution  which has the official approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs to recruit international students.
Students’s applications are accepted by the educational institutions which then help to apply for students pass at the Immigration Department in Malaysia.
Upon approval, the letter of approval for students pass will be released by the Malaysian Immigration Department to the educational institution to pass on to students.
Before leaving his/her country to Malaysia, students inform the educational institution of his /her port of entry/ airport and flight number, arrival time and date.
Upon arrival at the airport in Malaysia, the educational institution’s representative will receive the students at immigration checkpoint.
Within two weeks of students’s arrival, the institution will submit the students passport to immigration department to affix student pass sticker.
