Dubai-based Beatrice Delahaie is the Middle East's general manager of French beauty brand NUXE. Before NUXE, Beatrice headed the marketing division at Coty Beauty Middle East and held different sales and marketing positions at LVMH beauty brands. Beatrice is an avid yoga practitioner, enjoys travelling and is always improving and redesigning her cosy Scandi-inspired Jumeirah villa, all ways she says contributes to her work:life balance
Yoga
I've been in love with yoga for 10 years. Whether it's for a quick stretch or a full Hatha or Vinyasa session, it has proven to be the best way to release tension. And getting on my mat daily has instilled discipline as well. My trainer makes sure I stay toned and flexible and pushes me to try new acrobatic poses.
Healthy diet
Jumping from one diet to another can quickly become a disaster for your health and silhouette. I'm flexitarian, meaning I eat a maximum amount of vegetables and fruits and a minimum of processed food and meat. I've become an expert at how to eat the perfect levels of protein and energy without actually eating meat (hello quinoa!). Every morning I drink what I call a "Bugs Bunny": green apple juice, carrot juice and ginger, and I'm a green tea addict.
Interior design
One of the best ways for me to 'escape' without actually travelling is by exploring Instagram - getting inspiration from cosy modern Scandinavian interiors, and constantly upgrading the décor of my Nordic blue grey villa in Dubai. I'm crazy about the works of the new generation of Scandinavian designers, like Lars Tornoe for Muuto.
Wanderlusting
I love exploring the planet with my partner. We've prepared our bucket list of dream destinations, which include a new beach, new city and an 'event' somewhere in the world once a year. This year, aside from frequent visits to our respective countries, we're planning Goa, Capri and a Coldplay summer concert in Copenhagen.
Cooking and entertaining
I enjoy mixing new flavours, adding aromatic herbs freshly cut from my garden, and love looking for creative ways to transform traditional recipes into a healthier version. My favourite recipe books are: Ella Woodward's Deliciously Ella and Madeleine Shaw's Get the Glow. I find a lot of pleasure in gathering friends around my table for fresh healthy foods, and endless conversation.
Beaching
When things get too much, a long walk or a run by the sea at sunset is the answer. I believe the alchemy of the fresh sea air, the soft warmth of the sun on the skin, and the exercise is extremely soothing. My favourite spot in Dubai is Kite Beach.
New projects
My objective for 2016 is to launch a blog to share all my new discoveries. Passion is an engine for me, and keeping my eyes wide open to notice beauty in even the smallest of details is a philosophy that I live by. Finding the time to write and take beautiful pictures, however, will definitely be a challenge for me, but I believe efficiency and enthusiasm at work are nourished by a rich and passionate personal life.
